| accommres is accessed using an application within Windows know as "Remote Desktop". This is part of Windows and is supplied by Microsoft. This application uses the internet to connect to another computer. Once you have connected and logged in, you run Windows applications just as if they were on your own "local" PC. You can easily switch back and forwards from the work you are doing on the remote server to your "local" PC. |

Make sure the "Experience" settings match your internet connection type. The example shown will work best for most users connectiing with a Broadband, ADSL or DSL connection.
 | | Make sure the "Printers" tickbox is selected. This will make the printers which are available on your PC also available to accommres when you want to print.

When you select a printer you will be offered "2" for each printer you have installed locally. Select the second one of each pair. We are not sure why Terminal Server/Remote Desktop does this, unfortunately it is beyond our control. |
| |
3) Connect to our server

The server is identified using an IP Address. This is a series of numbers separated by a . (point), for example 123.456.789.012

You can now use accommres fully. If we are working through the demo with you then we will take you through the relevant options. Alternatively you may find using the accommres first time use document useful. If you want this, please ask.
4) Closing down
When you are finished, exit accommres. The screen will clear. You then need to logoff from the server.

| You will be logged out of the remote server and the "Remote Desktop" window/application will be closed. |
