Email Server SettingsAccess to this option is controlled by "Permission option" 12. Configuration -> Settings -> Email ServersYou need technical information regarding your Internet Connection. accommres can send emails to your clients, guests, suppliers and agents. In order to do this you need to define your SMTP Server. This information can be provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or Computer Technician. You only need to define one. However, you can define up to five. If your computer is mobile you may connect to the internet using different accounts in different places. When you start accommres there is a "pull down" list in the bottom right hand corner of the window. That list is generated from the "Where" column above. When starting accommres you can select which SMTP Server to use. The above settings have no effect on the operation of your booking-site. Email issuesWhen sending an email it is passed to an SMTP server for processing. If there is a problem accommres will "queue" the email. The "sync " process will attempt to resend the email later 3 times. The "sync" needs to use an SMTP server. If you define only one it will use that one, if you have more than one it will use the first unless you (a) Login as user "sysadmin" (b) Set the SMTP server in the main accommres window (c) Exit accommres. The sync uses the SMTP server last used by user "sysadmin ". |
