Installation

AccommRes installs in the following folder :-

c:\Program files\e21software\wh2

Any folders it needs to create are created for you by the installation routine. All files are installed and integrated to Windows where necessary. The installation is available in two forms.

(b) Online download.

After installation, the following icon will be visible on your "desktop".

Documentation is installed in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.

Click on the "accommres instructions" icon. These instructions will guide you through initial configuration and use of accommres.

Running

To run accommres double click the above icon or click the "Start" button and follow the menues as follows :-

Removal

accommres is fully integrated to Windows. To uninstall select the uninstall option in the same menu used when launching accommres or use the uninstall software routine in the Windows "Control Panel".

Data storage

Folders are automatically created in the "wh2" folder called "data " and "bookings". Both folders must be backed up. When backing up make sure that no-one is using accommres. If you want data to be stored in alternative folders set two parameters in the accommres command line (Properties Tab for the icon).

-data=f:\server\accommres\

The -data folder is used to store all accommres data.

The two folders can be identical

Network installation

The same accommres software is used in single or multi-user environments. To install in a network environment follow the following instructions.

1) Install accommres on all (as many as required) PC's and/or Laptops which are connected to the server

2) On your network server or PC acting as a server

3) On each client PC/Laptop setup a drive mapping to the accommres data area - preferably use F, T, X or Y as the mapped drive letter. It helps with support if all customer data areas are similar.

4) Setup the same drive mapping on the server

5) Create a folder in the accommres data area called accommres

6) Download from our downloads area one of the following and install it on each client PC and the server. It will set each accommres client to use the shared area

7) The "Sync" should be installed on the server (assuming you have online booking), dont forget that the server needs the same mapping as each client

Images

Make sure that all images used in accommres are stored in the images folder in the accommres data area. This makes them available to all client PC's on the network.
