Jobs
Different types of Jobs can be created. When a "Work Order" is printed its format will vary depending on its type. Job Status Creating a JobTo create a Job you must 1) Enter a short description of the Job 3) Select the Client (if there is one) - the property owner will be assumed as the client 4) Enter the person who reported the problem When the "Add button" is selected the job will be created. Changing a Job Status and Updating itEnter the Job number in the Job box (top right) and its details are loaded. Change as required and select the "Update " button when finished changing. Before a Job can be started it must be assigned to someone. A Job can be assigned to a member of staff or a Supplier. A Work Order can be printed as soon as a Job has been assigned. Select the Print Button and the Work Order will be printed. The Inspected status is only possible if the "Inspect Jobs" tickbox is selected in "Property Owner Configuration ". If so then when a Job is inspected you must enter who inspected it. ProjectsWork Orders ReportInvoice/ChargeOnce a Job is completed it can be Invoiced/Charged. Change the status to "Invoice/Charge" and when the Job is saved (click Update Button) the Invoice option is loaded with appropriate values. Raise the Invoice accordingly. DepositIf a deposit or payment in full is required for the Job then enter the job and advise the client/owner. When you receive the payment enter it using the "Payments" option - make sure you enter the Job number with the Payment. Please note the Deposit value must be entered for the Job before any payments entered will be applied to the Job. NotesNotes can be continually added to a Job as it progresses. Images can be attached if required. CostsWhen a Purchase Invoice is entered for a Supplier each line can be assigned to a Job. If this is done you can get a breakdown of the Cost of Sales for a Job by selecting the "Cost of Sales" button.
Profit/LossIf the costs are posted for a Job then profit and loss information is available in the "Work Orders Report". |
