Accommodation Details
Based on
Pricing can be handled using one of 2 methods. Either a price for a room, or a price based on the number of occupants. In the top example the price is based on a room. 400 EUR for 7 nights. Additional nights are not possible because "Extra nights" is zero. In the example below the price is based on 2 adults. 300 EUR for the first 7 nights and 35 EUR for any subsequent nights. If additional nights are not possible then set "
Extra nights" to "0". Additional rates can be defined for each additional adult or child. In the example below each additional Adult costs 100 EUR for 7 nights and then 20 EUR for each additional night. For a flat price per room, leave this setting blank. If pricing is based on the number of people sharing then, when your online booking site is built, your guests will only be able to book one unit or room per booking.

Prices
All prices are for the number of nights specified in the "
Nights" box (top left). In the above example the default currency is EUR. All prices are in the currency defined for the Property.
Arrival days
Identify the days of the week which guests can check in. In the above example guests can arrive every day of the week.
Meal supplements
Depending on the "basis" options selected in the "Accommodation Details" option enter prices for the meal supplements. These are applied daily and are added to the accommodation price defined above in this form. If you only offer the accommodation on an "accommodation only" basis, leave these values as 0.
Rateplans
This example is the rates used for the "FCHOICE" rateplan - shown top right of form. Prices for different rateplans are completed the same as the "standard" rateplan.

Free Children
Free Children can be defined for both accommodation and meals. The free child accommodation option is only valid if the pricing is based on a number of people sharing.
Same As
As many of the details are the same for all dates we have included the "Same As" option.

Select the Date, Accommodation Type and Rateplan you want to copy and select the "Same As
" button. The values for that accommodation, date and rateplan are loaded. Modify accordingly.
Smooth "Unit Prices"
For example - Calculation for a three bedroom Villa.
A seven night price is defined for 1st March 2006 of 700 GBP. A seven night price is defined from 1st April 2006 of 840 GBP. The price for a seven night booking from the 28th March 2006 could have two different values.
1) The seven night rate on 28th March is 700 GBP and therefore that is the price. Its the most simple method. For this "Smooth Unit Prices" is not ticked (the default).
2) The seven night rate on 28th March is 400 + 360, a total of 760 GBP. The seven day period crosses a price band. Therefore four nights are charged at 100 GBP per night (the daily rate of the seven night price) and an additional three nights are charged at 120 GBP per night (the daily rate of the seven night price from the 1st April). For this "Smooth Unit Prices
" must be ticked in the "Settings" option.
Prices usually fluctuate through a year to cope with seasonal demand. If "Smooth Unit Prices" is used the impact of price changes "Up and Down". It should increase revenue when your rates rise, but potentially decrease revenue when your rates fall.
This function will only work if a guest requests a number of nights for which a price is defined for the same number of nights and in the next "price band" a price is also defined for the same number of nights.
Super Smooth "Unit Prices"
This option is defined in the "Settings" option and affects the calculation of prices for all "Pricing - By Length of Stay" units in accommres. Rather than specifying a rate for the entire length of the periods defined, the rate entered is for one night. The same calculation rules apply as "Smooth Unit Prices".
Single Occupancy
This is only valid when "Based on Sharing
" is set to 2. The Single occupancy value is not an adjustment but the actual value which will be charged when the quantity of Adults and Children equals one.
% Discount for additional Adult and Occasional bed discount
Sometimes you may want to apply a surcharge when a party size equals the minimum number permitted. This surcharge is added as a percentage of the normal Adult price. If the percentage is zero then no surcharge is applied.
