Single Accommodation Type Properties

Saving information with this option is controlled by "Permission option" 19. This option can only be accessed using the main "pull down menu".

Select Edit -> Accommodation -> Single Type Properties

Once one Single Type Property has been added a menu pops up when the main "Accommodation " button (top left of main window) is selected, enabling you to choose between " Single Type Properties" and "Multiple Type Properties".

This option defines :-

General information

Locations which must have already been defined are listed in the top right pull down. To create a Property you must give it a name, select an Accommodation Type and enter a unique "Unit code". All the other information is optional although you will offer better customer service by entering all the information. When a client makes a booking accommres sends them an email with contact information. Contact details for the Property are included in that email. Don't forget to use numbers in international format i.e. + followed by your International dialling code.

If you are concerned about contact details for the property being available online then select the "Protect privacy" option. All information pages on the property will have the address and other contact details removed. The information (if you enter it) will only be provided to those who book the accommodation.

If you have already created a Property then it will appear in a list on the right. The list will change depending on the Location selected. To select an existing Property click (single) on its name in the right hand box and its details will be presented.

Days to Arrival/Occupancy Discount (Dynamic pricing)

Discount or Price increase percentages can be applied according to a matrix of "Days to arrival" and "Occupancy percentage" on each day. If used for a property it will vary the prices you charge on a daily basis according to occupancy - "Yield Management". Select the discount plan for this property (if applicable).

Pricing models

A single accommodation type property is assumed to use the "Price by length of stay" pricing model. Other price models are available, but you will need to use " Accommodation Details".

Meal supplements, free child places, minimum lengths of stay, different rates for different lengths of stay and controls regarding valid days of arrival can be configured when defining prices.

To configure prices select the " Dates and Prices" button. Access to the above is controlled by "Permission option" 1.

Information

Additional information can be defined. To do this select the "Information" button which will launch the " Unit Information" option. accommres will generate an information page within the online booking site from the details provided.

Maximum Guests

You can define the maximum number of guests who can stay in this type of accommodation. This is the total of Adults and Children. You can also specify "plus children ". For example a Studio will usually have a maximum of two guests. Sometimes in larger studios it is possible to have one extra person which must be a child. Use the "+ Children " option to set this.

Inventory

If you want to record the Inventory for this property select the " Information" button and use the "Unit information" option.

Online Booking Site

The booking page for this Accommodation is automatically generated every time its details are updated.

Directions

Select the "Directions button" to add information on reaching the property including a map.

The directions and map will appear on printed booking confirmations and on booking information emailed to the client using " Booking Details".

Key collection

If you have a specific key collection procedure for the property select the "Keys " button.

The key collection procedure is included in printed booking confirmations and emails. It is also available when guests login into their online booking area.

Online Agents

accommres is integrated with online agents. Pricing and Availability information is automatically sent to those agents and any bookings are downloaded. Configure "Online Agents" using the "Online Agents " button. Accommodation is allocated to an online agent using "Accommodation Allocations".
