Users

This product can run with or without user access. Once a user is defined ("Users" option in the Configuration menu) then all users must login.

Logging in

A valid User Name and Password must be entered. Only the System Administrator (SA) can add or amend users. The SA has a specific User Name and Password which is only issued to one user at installation for security reasons. Once logged in the users name is displayed and recorded when creating Notes, adding or making changes to Transactions. From the main screen "untick" the current user and login as a different user if you want to.

List Users

In the bottom right hand corner of the login form is a button which when selected will list all users currently logged in.

Adding or Changing Users

Configuration -> Users

Add the name of the user or select them from the pull down if they already exist. Add their information. If they have permissions the same as someone else select the other user from the pull down next to the Same As button and select "Same As". The other users permissions will be copied to this user. Select the button with the arrow and plus on it to update accommres. All user information is stored in encrypted format. There are no limits to the number of users which can be configured although, you will be restricted to a physical number of concurrent users based on the licences acquired for the product.

Timeout minutes

This is a simple method of increasing security. If a user does not use this product for more than the "Timeout minutes" period then the user will be asked to login again. This will mainly occur when the user exits one form and opens another.

Mobile number

Text/SMS messaging is possible with this product. If you add a mobile number for this user then you can send this person a text message by selecting them from the "phonebook" rather than entering their mobile number every time.

Permissions

To modify permission, select the user and tick/untick the relevant option. In the above example the use does not have permission to the options which change " Settings", " Email server settings" and "Firewall settings".

If a user tries to do something and they do not have permission for an option they will be given a message.

Options

Unfortunately the options are not listed in a logical order. This is due to the way the security options have been developed. In due course this may change.

Property, Location and Country access

You can restrict a user to all properties in a single country, a single location or only one property. All options, which provide information based on a property or location will only provide information the user is entitled to.

Language Translators

If this user can provide language translation services then identify the languages. This is integrated with the " Language Translation" option in accommres.
