SiteClone supports multiple sites. Each site is given a code and defined as above. DEMO_SC is the example in the demonstation data site.

Description

This is used by the "Search " option when you are finding Sites throughout SiteClone.

Copyright

All generated pages have a "Copyright tag". This is the value which will be used for all pages.

Language

All generated pages have a "language tag". Multiple sites should be used for multiple language sites. One site code for each language. SiteClone makes sure each page is correctly defined for each language. This is the default setting for all pages. This setting can be varied on a page by page basis.

Styles

Styles are defined using the " Styles" option. Each Style used by a site must be added to the site before a " Page" can be defined using it.

Select the " +" button to add a Style and select the "-" button to remove one.

All the styles which can be used in the site are shown in the drop down list.

Author

All generated pages have an "Author tag". This is the value which will be used for all pages.

Root filename

This is the "Home page". Usually this filename is index.html. This value is used when the "View" button is selected to launch the site in Internet Explorer when testing.

Folder

This is the Folder where the site will be built. It will be offset with another folder for the language. For the demonstration example.

C:\Program Files\e21Software\cs2\demo\eng for English pages

C:\Program Files\e21Software\cs2\demo\fra for French pages

Dutch - nld

English - eng

French - fra

German - deu

Italian - ita

Portuguese - ptg

Spanish - esp

<script> Tags

You might be using css style sheets and .js (javascript) pages within your site. If so you can either define these within the style html pages (Styles ) or add them using this function.

Each one will be added to the "tags" part of the html page before the </head> tag.

This can be very useful if you want to add something later, for example code for a Google search function. Just drop the code supplied by Google in here and then "Build the site". All pages defined for this site will then have the new function.

In the demonstration example a css style sheet is used demo_site.css and this is included in each generated page using this method.

Menu Group

By default the menu group is set to "01". If you want to define more than one menu, define "01, then select "02" and define it etc. Use the Menu entry to define the menu items. See Menues and Navigation for further information.

See Menues and Navigation for further information.

Linking to other language versions of this site

If this site links to the same pages in a different language, use the language grid to define how the pages are linked. You need to define a div with an id of "language" in your style page. See the "Styles" section for details on how to do this. This div will be replaced when the site is built with a block of flags - one for each language where a link has been defined in the grid.

Use the "Vertical" or "Horizontal " select to define how the block of flags is generated

The name of each flag is assumed to be in the format of "lang_xxx.jpg" where xxx is the language code (as folder)

You supply the jpg's for each language you want to use

Flag jpg's are located in the html folder or using the "Flag Image Offset" for example ../images/

In the example above (the demonstration data) the languages are English, Spanish and French. English and French are in the same FTP area, just in different folder (one for each language). The Spanish language site is in a totally different domain. The flags will link accordingly. Each flag is given a hint. Examples below

eng - English

fra - Français

esp - Español

View

Select the View button to launch Internet Explorer and look at the home page of the site on disc.
