| accommres property management software can be used in single user or multi user environments. You decide on what you need and how you want your users to access the software and it can be configured to meet your requirements.
What is a user? We do not count the number of installed copies of our software. You can install it on as many systems as required. However, we count "concurrent" users - those running it at the same time. So a four user licence is only required if you install accommres on 7 PC's and Laptop's but at any point in time no more than four people are using accommres.Local or Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)Our Foxpro database version will support up to 10 users easily. Beyond that we recommend Firebird SQL up to about 50 users. Beyond that we recommend Oracle. We are Oracle partners and using Oracle the sky is the limit.Remote accessProvided you can provide access to the LAN using a remote connection - VPN, Internet, Telephone/Modem or otherwise a remote user can run accommres using "Windows Remote Desktop". They will not install accommres on their PC or Laptop but still need a licence when they connect.Online/Web accessaccommres can be installed on an online server. Anyone with "Windows Remote Desktop" (included in Windows XP) and an internet connection can access it, irrespective of where they are. We suggest you also use a VPN to add security but this is not essential. In this case the software is only installed on the online server, all users run the same copy but still need a licence to use accommres. A Windows Server 2003 (or later) online server is required. These are widely available from a variety of Server Hosting providers.
Sophisticated installations can be created. Users login to multiple online servers. One or more servers manage the SQL database(s).Performanceaccommres is designed for multi-user environments. It is very efficient with memory and data access. As a result an average single CPU 1GB RAM Windows 2003 Server can support up to 10 or more simultaneous accommres users. A single Windows 2003 Server can easily support the SQL database requirements for a Hotel group of over 20 properties and in excess of 1000 new bookings per day.SecurityIrrespective of single or multi-user you can control users when they use accommres. The System Administrator can setup a login and password for each user and then enable or disable over eighty different access rights. Many of these rights are "you can or can not" access this option or, "you can look but not change" or, "individual values in forms" can not be updated. Users can be "cloned" to create identical access rights. Users can be restricted to individual properties.LanguageUsers can run accommres in different languages. The System Administrator can
define the language for each user. All text, hints, buttons and prompts appear in that users language. |
